The year is (early) 2007 and the A&R and Marketing departments at Music Brokers are involved on a lively brainstorming session about new projects. Among the ideas is to step away a little from the ‘Family Tree’ concept and create album that would reflect a lesser known (although equally important) side of pop and rock’s superstars. During a period of little more than ten years, that idea became what now is a juggernaut collection named The Many Faces.
With more than 50 titles available (and more to come) and in 3XCD format, The Many Faces collection is a who’s who of popular music from the 20thCentury. From Hard Rock (Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, AC/DC) to 80s’ Brit Rock (The Cure, The Police, The Smiths), and from R&B (Tina Turner, James Brown) and blues (Eric Clapton, B.B. King) to electronica (Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, Joy Division), these albums feature collaborations, alternative versions, solo appearances, live takes and tribute tracks that will please even the most fervent fans.
